One of two works commissioned by Robert Bolick, curator of Books on Books.

The Metamorphoses is Ovid’s epic poem about “bodies which have been transformed into shapes of different kinds.” With motifs of violence, punishment, reward, pathos, and lost speech dwelling within this classic tale, Ovid writes about human feelings in the face of the awful and the tender, the terrifying and beautiful, the violent and loving.

my mind is playing tricks on me,
a conversation in line drawing

collaboration between Ryan Tippery ( Chicago ) and Robert Malte Engelsmann aka kaeghoro ( Berlin ) / each artist created 8 drawing inputs on paper using just black lines, which he sent via post to the other artist to take the input, be inspired and complete the composition and final artwork – there were almost no agreements in advance and total creative freedom for the input and final drawings. the series consists of 16 drawings on dorée paper 16,5 x 24 cm
